… The alien spaceship crashing into Earth remained almost unnoticed. There was no violent explosion or spectacular aftermath; only resonance waves appeared in the air 24 hours after the event. Later it became clear that the world obtained an enigmatic natural phenomenon, incomprehensible even to the futuristic science: unexpectedly for a couple of hours a random territory changed entirely, got stripped of something, as if lost its skin and muscles, revealing the mesh and the algorithm of the universe.
Usually, just before phenomenon occurred, the blind void emerged, followed by a dazzling flash of lightning; surroundings got liquefied, distorted and then the air got fragmented into numerous ‘screens’, each bearing an image spreading an uncanny luster. The hologram-like, nearly static ‘screens’ appeared to be switched to the flickering half-frozen mode, which allowed three frames motion the most. The images on ‘screens’ seemed within hand reach and tangible, but with one’s slightest attempt to inch toward them, the ground moved backwards, as if planet started to spin in retrograde, leaving the distances unchanged. The ‘screens’ overlapped and traversed, forming a mirage maze full of daubed reflections. One could only witness and marvel, but never interact. Sadly, getting adrift was usual, many got lost in the entangled dimensions forever.
And yet this nomadic phenomenon wasn’t a dark one. When it occurred on the full moon night, the territory transformed into a blissful spectacle: with multiple lustrous eclipses in the acid-bit sky and glowing diamond desert; with the signs of alien alphabet materialized out of darkness and dispersed high in the atmosphere; with visible sound and more.
But the most bewildering was Radiant Wolf, a beast of such a divine grace, it was said watching him could change the course of one’s life to the better at once. To chance on this twilight zone with the full moon hanging above and catching sight of the Wolf was a gift. A magical chance to perceive own fate standing in the heart of transfixed décor, while the breathtaking creature moved in slow motion under the starless night sky, crucified on neon.
